Accomplishments as Chair of SSTC-PSA

We measure our success in actual lives changed. These actions are a testament to the difference that communities can make when we come together to create lasting change.

Medical Mission to Haiti

Earth Quake struck Haiti January 2010

In October 2010 we lead a Medial Mission with 25 medical personnel to Haiti which included Doctors, Dentists, Registered Nurses and others who work in the medical field. The Past Students’ Association was able to sponsor two persons from the College, Monica Campbell a Lecturer, and a student, Oliver Dwyer. Ms. Campbell, student Dwyer along with other team members visited a school that was affected by the earthquake and handed out school supplies to the children while the Medical Mission personnel offered medical services and medicine to over 700 persons. This was a very successful mission. The experience was a life changing one for all who participated. We came back with a renewed sense of appreciation for the basic necessities of life. We were thankful that we were given the opportunity to give back to those who were in such great need.

Medical Mission and Education Camp

A Dental Clinic was conducted at the Catherine Hall Clinic and several people were given free dental care by Dr. Habib Mitri. The Education Camp was conducted on Campus for a period of two weeks for the students from Granville and surrounding areas. The focus was on getting kids academically ready for the next school year.
